St. Mathew's Church

2008 Greater Milwaukee Synodical Women’s Organization (SWO) Convention All women are invited to attend the October 3rd & 4th convention being held at St. Mathew’s Lutheran Church at 1615 Wauwatosa Ave. in Wauwatosa. The theme this year is “Here I am Lord - Send Me.” There will be good food, exciting workshops, inspiring worship service and much more. Check the WELCA section of the kiosk for more information and registration. There is still time to register, the deadline has been extended.

All women are invited to share an evening of good food and wonderful fellowship. Bring your favorite dish to pass. It happens to be Amber Holat’s birthday. She’s going to be there so come help her celebrate!

WELCA Milwaukee Joint Cluster
November 15, 2008
The WELCA Milwaukee Joint Cluster Gathering will be held on November 15th, 2008 at Ascension Lutheran Church located at 1236 S. Layton Blvd. The program will center around “Bad Girls of the Bible.” Registration is at 8:30 a.m. program starts at 9:00 a.m. Cost is $8.00 for registration and lunch.

Don’t Forget - Keep saving those soda can tabs and old working cell phones.

Lutheran Social Services are asking for our help. They are on a mission! They are looking for help in providing new refugee families with necessary items to help them in starting their new life in a new land.

Pick ’n’ Save Gift Certificates - For food items. Approximately $250 adequately covers a family of 4.

Wal-mart or Target Gift Certificates - For items such as underwear, socks, or other household items.

The Lutheran World Relief (LWR) Boxcar will be in Milwaukee to pick up the LWR kits in October. You may have these articles or may like to purchase them at sales or garage sales.
